The UA Alumni Association Honors Graduates and Friends of the University at Homecoming

To commemorate the University of Arizona’s 125th anniversary celebration, the UA Alumni Association recognized the achievements and contributions of alumni to their colleges at the 2010 Alumnus of the Year Ceremony. The ceremony took place during the UA’s Homecoming celebration on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010.

“It is our honor to present the Alumnus of the Year Awards to outstanding University of Arizona alumni,” said Andy Harris ’87, Chair of the UA Alumni Association Awards and Recognition Committee. “Their contributions to society and the world make all graduates of the UA proud to be a part of the Wildcat community.”

Alumnus of the Year award winners included:

During the University of Arizona's 125th-year commemoration and 2010 Homecoming celebration, the University of Arizona Alumni Association  recognized the achievements of those individuals who  have made positive impacts in their communities, professions or support of the university as UA alumni. The Alumnus of the Year award is designed with this goal in mind.

Dr. Zhao Chen, nationally recognized researcher and educator on public health issues, has been recognized as the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health Alumnus of the Year.
